We went to the serpentarium where there are all kinds of reptiles and frogs. It's called the Reptile Discovery Center. We looked at some red footed turtles. We walked next to a basilisk cage outside. (A basilisk is a lizard that walks on water. It has flaps on the bottom of its feet to make bubbles when it runs.) Then we went inside to the lobby and saw toys that you could buy and reptiles you could get for pets. We looked at some snakes. We saw tons of snakes, from poisonous all the way to nonpoisonous. Then we went into the milking room and looked at some animals. The show wasn't coming on for about thirty minutes. The show is where they milk deadly snakes, which is where they take out the poison. They use it for anti-venom. We were looking at baby american alligators, a snapping turtle, a milk snake and a chameleon. A lady showed us some king cobra eggs. Pretty neat. Then I accidentally opened the american alligator cage.None of them got out though. My cousin Tripp got snapped at by an alligator. Then, the show started. We held some snakes and let them slither all around us. (Women, snakes are soft, not slimy.) It was awesome! Then, we saw the people milk the snakes. After that, we went to look at the trail with more animals. I also saw my teachers daughter. And then, it started to rain.I had to go the bathroom,I ran inside, did my business and ran to the truck.

Halifax Humane Society
We walked into the first room with animals. It held cats.Even though I`m allergic to cats my allergies didn`t act up after a while. Then a volunteer asked us if we wanted to hold the kittens. They were soooooooooo soft! I got to hold 4 or 5 kittens. A cat named Sassy new how to talk. Then we saw the small dogs. A lot dogs were yappy, yappy, yappy. But two little twin puppies were so calm and quiet. They were being really adorable. The dogs were barking so much we decided to go in the big dogs. But first we looked at some hamsters, a rabbit and a parakeet. That was a poor choice for us to go in the big dogs. They barked louder than the small dogs. Two or three were just resting. Then we decided to go into the lobby and leave.
